The Home Health Care and Assistance program provides a full range of pre- and post-hospitalization assistance services.

Day surgery hastens your return home, but you sometimes need help to facilitate your recovery. CanAssistance ensures that you heal as fast as possible!

Have you been hospitalized following an accident, illness or operation? Our staff, with the support of you and/or your family, can organize your home convalescence or your placement in a convalescent residence.

We assess your needs with you and your family. Depending on your condition, we plan your convalescence with someone close to you or along with a specialized home-care organization that will provide the professional services you need in your own home.

Follow-up with your surgeon or doctor will undoubtedly be required; we facilitate communication between you and your doctor, and plan transportation, if necessary, between your home and the hospital.

If your condition requires special care, we will help you select a convalescent home that has the appropriate equipment.

CanAssistance is at your side, helping you manage all the details. Our sole concern is to help you get the peace and quiet you need for a smooth - and therefore prompt - recovery.

Now you are back home. Your doctor has given you instructions and told you what measures to take to get back on your feet. The trouble is, you are preoccupied by how you feel, and it's information overload! You are not sure you understood everything. Call us if you need clarification. Our partners in the area of specialized residences will discuss your needs, search out different residences that can meet them and then let you and your family make the decision.

If you wish, we can join you and your family members on a visit to the residences you have shortlisted, and then help you organize your move.
